Black & White Nature Photography has a whole different look about it from color nature photography. To my eyes it seems more “crisp” and more clear. It’s like because the colors aren’t there you can see other aspects of the scene that you could never see with your own eyes.
But at the same time it’s almost more lifelike, more like what you see with your own eyes because of how all of the angles jump out at you. It’s more 3D like in a way.
Personally I love both black & white and color photography, they both certainly have their place. But to really appreciate black & white you have to understand that the lack of color really changes the whole perspective of the photo. It’s not a simple minded thing really.
Of course then I go off on a rant about simple minded folks. The truth is; such people aren’t going to be taking good photos anyway.
