My husband and I are about to buy our first home but it is a short sale. This means that the home is bank owned because the previous owner could no longer afford the mortgage payment and they were foreclosed on, which means that they had to vacate the home and turn it over to the bank. It is literally a repossession of the home. Many people that lost their home to foreclosures went through their homes and bashed in the walls with objects as they are were very upset that they could no longer afford their home. We have found that many of these homes are very sad and in need of repair and we do not want to buy a home that needs that much work. We are looking for an Oklahoma title company to hire to get us the history of the house to see what is owed on it.
