Boom Years Masked Entrenched Problems in the Work Market

A report from the CBI business group, published on Monday, has revealed that the economic boom of the last decade has masked entrenched problems in the work market. They have outlined many affecting factors including long-term unemployment, an addiction to public-sector jobs, low investment in graduate jobs and heavy skills shortages. These labour market divisions will deepen as the recovery continues, it says, with highly skilled workers expected to migrate to London and south-east England leaving the north-east and West Midlands. It lists local economic performance, education, welfare dependency and also the state of local infrastructure as the factors that complicate the picture. “These problems are not likely to disappear after the economic recovery and, left unchecked, will have grave social and economic consequences,” said John Cridland, the director-general. The report says the solution to factors including welfare dependency, skills, local economic performance and educational achievement will be in in a proposal the CBI promises to publish later this year.

I really like working with people and helping them get the things that they deserve in life. That is why I think I am going to go ahead and quit my current job and try to snag one of those jobs in payroll. I mean, if you think about it you get a really great setup there. All you have to do is figure out how much money each person at the company made that pay period and then deduct taxes from that amount. It is much better than being a banker or anything like that because you are actually giving people their hard earned money rather than taking it from them. I probably have to take a few classes to brush up on all of the rules, but this sounds like something that is perfect for me. I can’t wait to put in my notice and start a new fun job.
