What’s not to like about education? Education is a sublime path; a way to acquire knowledge about all kinds of subjects including one’s favorite topics. Regardless of the time zone, right now, someplace, somewhere, there is a student concentrating on their textbooks, studying and researching their favorite topic, and becoming better prepared for their future. Some students even enjoy reading books so much that they sell the textbooks they don’t need any more just so they can help fund their future book buying ventures. Reading, studying, learning: all enjoyable educational venues. I guess the only thing not to like about education is that there is no end in sight. That’s a good thing, though. No matter how much one learns, there is always much, much more to learn. I don’t think I have ever heard a student say they have learned everything there is to know. What I have heard is that the more college and university students learn, the more fun learning becomes, and the more one realizes how much more knowledge there is to acquire. In fact, some students originally intend on attending college for a few years, and end up attending their educational institution for longer, sometimes even double the amount of time that they first planned on spending in attendance. Over the years, the number of new and used college textbooks which exist is steadily growing. Just about everything from art to architecture, history to philosophy, and psychology to botany is covered and discussed in textbooks of today and yesterday. Being a student is truly a sublime activity; one in which the realization comes that there is always much more to learn.
